Image Based Backups

Image Based Backups allow you to store an entire computer's contents.

The image is taken in the background while all programs are running and does not affect the user.

After the initial snapshot is taken and stored, subsequent ‘differential’ images are taken at regular intervals.

The advantage of differential backups is that the original full image can produce a point-in-time complete image by combining it with any one differential image – that is - only two backups are required to complete any restoration point.

If the differential snapshots start to become too large (there have been a large amount of changes to the system), a new full image is automatically taken and the process begins again.
